With many years' experience in selling and marketing Alcatel-Lucent products and services, Neil is a natural fit into SBL and we look forward to sharing in his success. HOSPA Conference

For the fourth year running, SBL exhibited at the HOSPA (formerly BAHA) Conference at Sofitel Heathrow T5 in late November. This annual gathering of the great and good of the hospitality industry is always an excellent opportunity to promote new initiatives and gain feedback from seasoned hoteliers.
This year we partnered with Tiger-TMS in demonstrating how guest services can be promoted and delivered more easily so that hotels can boost their revenues through greater sales. If you would like more information then please call the office on 0844 335 6455!

Louis Koekemoer is our new Sales Order Processing Manager. Louis hails from Durban, South Africa and has experience in the banking sector as well as running his own company for 6 years. He is now applying his considerable expertise to SBL – welcome Louis!
Brecon Challenge 2011

The third annual SBL Brecon Challenge will be taking place on the weekend of the 17th / 18th September. Unlike previous years, when the "challenge" was to hike over the highest peaks in the Beacons covering 26 miles in day, this year's event has an aquatic flavour.
We start off by canoeing down the Monmouthshire Canal for 5km then embark on some cognitive tests before returning to the canoes for a further 5km to arrive at Talybont-on-Usk. It's then on with the hiking boots and a 14Km march up the Taff trail following the route of the old railway line (and passing through some of the oldest tunnels in the UK) to finish up at Penscilli Lake. There, the final challenge is to build a raft and get to the other side where a coach awaits to take everybody back to the hotel.

New Starters

The continued growth in our business has led to the appointment of new members of staff recently:
Nina Robinson is our new Financial Officer and member of the Management Team. Nina joins us after working for a while in Germany and brings with her considerable knowledge of the Sage system and accountancy expertise.
Chris Feeley has joined SBL to complement our engineering force in the north of the country. Following in his father's footsteps, Chris has already completed a number of installations and support visits in addition to attending various training courses.
Rachael Lee is our new Service Account Manager. Rachael brings with her a wealth of experience in the Alcatel-Lucent world and is a qualified Pre-Sales Specialist. We've known Rachael for a while and we are delighted that she has finally decided to see the light and join SBL!
